On the 19 October 2012 the UCD Mícheál Ó Cléirigh Institute (http://www.ucd.ie/mocleirigh/) will host a seminar entitled: Penance, Penitential Texts and Pastoral Care in Early Medieval Ireland, (please see Programme & Abstracts). The primarily aim of this event is to connect scholars from different academic institutions interested in the sacrament of penance, in the usage, relevance and impact of penitential texts and monastic rules, and more broadly in the early Irish Church provision of pastoral care.
It will take place in the UCD Shool of History and Archives, Newman Building, Belfield, Dublin 4. The morning sessions will take place in K115 and the afternoon sessions in K114. All are welcome, registration is not required. There will be a free wine reception in the Common Room.
